Outback First Aid Information Session

Outcomes:
The Outback First Aid is an information session only that will prepare participants to manage injuries and illness associated with outdoors activities. On completion of this awareness courses participants will have the knowledge to render basic first aid in a range of common outdoor injuries, illness and emergencies.
Subjects:
Calling emergency services, including Sat phones and CB use in an emergency
Bites & Stings – including snake bit management
Burns management from campfires and gas cookers
Severe bleeding – including use of improvised and purpose use tourniquets
Collapse, fainting and common causes of collapse from medical conditions
Sprains, Strains & Fracture management
Environmental emergencies – exposure to extreme heat and cold & manage hypo and Hyperthermia
Community – Hands only CPR

Special Note:
Please note your entry fee to the Let's Go Caravan, Camping and Offroad Sale at the Adelaide Showgrounds is not included in the cost of your Outback First Aid information session booking and must be purchased separately, either via https://www.caravanandcampingsa.com.au/sa-sale/ or at the gate.
Entry cost – $17.00 online or $19.00 on the gate, children free – concession applies.
