Welcome To SA Shores

Free - Learn how to enjoy yourself around water safely

Beaches and swimming pools are a place that many people use to enjoy, to socialise at, and to cool off during hot days, but they can also be a hazardous place if you are not familiar with the dangers.

Our Welcome To SA Shores program provides classes at the pool and at the beach to teach you and your family how to keep safe and to enjoy these environments. These classes also help you understand the role of lifesavers and when and where to find them to help you stay safe.

The 2025 Welcome To SA Shores programs were run in April and November giving 240 participants the confidence to enjoy the pool and beach

The 2026 Welcome To SA Shores Program dates are coming soon.

• Class 1 - Pool session

• Class 2 - Pool session

• Class 3 - Pool session

• Class 4 - Pool session

• Class 5 - Pool session

• Class 6 - Beach session
