Almost 3000 Surf Sports athletes will test their mettle at State Championship events over the next month in South Australia. The State Championship events offer 537 individual events catering for participants aged 7 to 87 representing 20 Surf Life Saving Clubs from across the State.
The 2018 State Championships will pave the way for athletes to compete at The Aussies in April at Scarborough WA and then in the Lifesaving World Championships to be held in November at Glenelg SA.
Events include:
- Junior State Championship | Glenelg SLSC | Friday 9 March - Sunday 11 March
- Masters State Championship | Christies beach SLSC | Saturday 17 March - Sunday 18 March
- Senior State Championship Day | South Port SLSC | Saturday 24 March - Sunday 25 March
Events that will contribute to Championship Points this season include 25% of all Senior Carnival scores including Surf Boat Racing, Board Riding State Championships, Masters Surf Boat State Championship and Lifesaving State Championships (R&R, Champion Patrol, Champion Lifesaver, First Aid State Championship).
