Australian Pool Rescue Championships

Surf Life Saving SA wishes our Pool Rescue State Team and our SA Clubs the very best of luck as they take on the Nation's best at the Australian Pool Rescue Championship to be held at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre at Marion this weekend.

The Pool Championships take us into aquatic centres around the country to test Australia’s most skilled swimmers and showcase a variety of skills. The Pool Championships are also one of the key qualifying events for our national lifesaving teams. It is also an opportunity for our elite lifesavers to display the skills that keep them rescue ready for the start of the patrol season.

Pool Rescue athletes from around the country will be looking to test the water in preparation for the upcoming Life Saving World Championships also to be hosted at the Aquatic Centre in December 2018, the weekend’s events will be the last hit out and perfect trial run for both facilities, officials and athletes.

Surf life savers from 50 surf life-saving clubs are expected to take to the Pool for the National Championships from across the country including Arcadia SLSC and Townsville Picnic Bay all the way from Far North Queensland.
