In the spirit of commemoration on the 103nd anniversary of ANZAC Day, the ANZAC Eve Youth Vigil was conducted (for its 19th consecutive year) at the South Australian National War Memorial, North Terrace, Adelaide on Tuesday 24th April 2018. 21 youth volunteers aged between 13-18 years represented Surf Life Saving SA at the Vigil (pictured).
Suneden Specialist School Hits the Beach
Students from Suneden Special School hit the water with the help from Seacliff Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) during the months of March and April 2018. Some of the students had never been to the beach before or experienced swimming in the sea. Volunteers from Seacliff SLSC gave up their time on Tuesday mornings to enable the sessions to take place. The 8-week program allowed the students to enjoy the beach and learn new water safety skills.
Volunteer with the Lifesaving World Championships 2018
The Lifesaving World Championships relies heavily on a dedicated team of volunteers who work behind the scenes to ensure the event is a success.
We have opportunities across a range of areas, including water cover and first aid, operations, guest services and administration.
You don’t have to be an active member of a surf lifesaving club – you just have to be eager, reliable and willing to put your hand up.
Volunteers are provided with a uniform, meals during shift, an accreditation pass to access transport and social programs and of course memories that will last a lifetime!
We need volunteers across a range of areas:
· Water Cover and First Aid (click here for more info)
· Beach venue operations (click here to express interest)
· Administration, Accreditation, Hospitality, General Operations (click here for more information)
